Required Application Materials:
- Signed application form. Send original application plus two copies.
- Official school transcripts. Have one official transcript from the Office of the Registrar at each college or university attended sent directly to the Mas Family Scholarships. If you are currently in high school, please send most recent report of grades.

Admissions test scores. Submit one official SAT score report. For SAT scores, contact:

- Three evaluation forms. An evaluation form is included in the application package. Please make extra copies of the form for your three evaluations. At least one evaluation must be prepared by your counselor or a current professor. The form should be completed by those performing the evaluation and returned to you in a sealed envelope, which you will submit with your application.
- Essays. Three copies of one essay on the designated topic must be submitted. An essay form with the assigned topic is included in the application package.NOTE: Essays should be typed, double spaced, with pages numbered, on 8.5” x11” white paper. All essays must be a 1,000 words minimum.
- Proof of Cuban descent. This can be in form of a parent’s or grandparent’s birth certificate or a notarized affidavit.
- Proof of admission. If you are entering college this coming school year, please send a copy of the letter notifying you of your admission.
- Tuition cost information. Send us a copy of the school’s most recent statement regarding tuition costs for the coming year.
- Statement of need. You must fill out the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form,” which is available after every January 1 st at any local college’s financial aid office. Send it to the address specified on the form. The report, which they will send back to you in approximately 15 days, must be included in the application package which you will submit to us. The information provided in that report, detailing your family’s financial situation, will help us determine the amount of your possible scholarship, which will also depend on the tuition costs and living expenses at the college you have chosen.
